About
Dr. Siddharth Samsi is a technical staff member in the Lincoln Laboratory Supercomputing Center at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His areas of research include high-performance computing, big data, and medical image processing.
Dr. Samsi previously worked as a visiting scientist at the J. David Gladstone Institutes and as a research fellow at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine, where his research focused on image analysis and workflow development for high-throughput screening of primary neurons.
While pursuing his MSc and PhD degrees in electrical and computer engineering at The Ohio State University, Dr. Samsi worked as a researcher at the Ohio Supercomputer Center. His dissertation focused on developing computational tools for the analysis of high-resolution images of human and mouse tissue biopsies. This work involved developing image analysis algorithms for quantifying disease phenotypes and web technologies for viewing gigapixel images and integrating these tools to leverage high-performance computing resources for interactive data analysis.
